Plasma: The Fourth State Of Matter
As I have said, today I am going to post on the topic :-
PLASMA: THE FOURTH STATE OF MATTER
There are total 5 states of matter. The five states of matter are :-
1) Solid
2) Liquid
3) Gas
4) Plasma
5) Bose-Einstein condencate (BEC)
So today I will tell you about the fourth state of matter, the plasma. When we heat a gas to a high temperature it converts into plasma.
When we heat a gas, the electrons in the atoms get rid of the force of attraction exerted by the nucleus, and the atom splits into positive and negative ions, this state is known as plasma.
As there are many free electrons, which makes plasma a good conductor of electricity.
Plasma is used in televisions, neon lights etc.
Stars, lightning and some flames also consists of plasma.
