 Hi Guys, today I am going to tell you about:- WHAT IS ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION? If you have not read my post about light, then you can  read it now . Electromagnetic radiation is a stream of photons which moves in a wave is called electromagnetic radiation. The photons are the quantum of electromagnetic radiation or the energy carrier.  Photon is an elementary particle and is the energy carrier of electromagnetic radiation. And it has no mass, means it is a massless particle. As you can see in the above image that the wavelengths of radio waves are bigger than gamma rays. This happens due to the variation of energy of photons. When the photons have a short wavelength, the energy is very high like the gamma rays and as the wavelengths increase in size, the energy of photons decreases like radio waves. So we can say that the bigger the wavelength, the less energy it has and shorter the wavelength, the more energy it has. I hope that you might have understood. THANK YOU
