Fleming's Left And Right Hand Rule

Hi friends, today I am going to post about :-


FLEMING's LEFT AND RIGHT HAND RULE





I have told you that moving charged particles interact with electric and magnetic field. So we use the fleming's left hand and right hand rule to know the interaction between the charged particles and magnetic field.

The middle finger indicates the direction of the current, and index finger indicates the direction of the magnetic field, and thumb indicates the force acting on the particle as shown below.




According to the left hand rule :

If the direction of current is right, the the charged particle will move upwards. 
If  the direction of current is left then the charged particle will move downwards

The left hand rule is used in electric motors.

According to the right hand rule :

 If the direction of current is left then the charged particle will move upwards.
If the direction of current is right then the charged particle will move downwards. 

The right hand rule is used in generators.
